A cork desk kit: cork-bound notebook, bamboo flask, cork coasters, sticky notes and a small box, each with the client’s mark About every two months

Repeat order · a standing kit · engineering services

Reordered about every two months.

L&T Technology Services has a desk kit it hands to delegates and new colleagues. Since 2025 we have made it on a repeating cycle, the same pieces and the same finish each time, with a person's name on it when the handover calls for one.

Why the same kit, every time.

A welcome kit works when everyone gets the same one. The colleague who joined in March and the delegate who visited in July should be able to put their kits side by side and see no difference.

That is harder than it sounds with natural materials. Cork varies. Seed paper is made in batches. Honey comes from a season. So we hold the recipe fixed, buy the materials in runs that cover several orders, and check each kit against the last one before it goes out.

The third order should look exactly like the first.

What is in the box.

Cork leads: the notebook, the box it sits in, the coasters and the sticky-note block. Bamboo for the flask, seed paper for the calendar, beeswax and raw honey from the regions we buy from.

What a standing order looks like from our side.

Each cycle runs the same way. Only the names change.

  1. The callA number and a date, and the list of names if there is one.
  2. Materials in handCork, bamboo and seed paper bought in runs that cover several orders, so nothing changes mid-year.
  3. Names setEach name proofed and checked against the list before printing.
  4. AssembledEvery kit checked against the last one: same pieces, same places in the box.
