Questions buyers ask.
What are good corporate Pongal gifts for employees?
Pongal thanks the sun and the harvest, so gifts that are sown suit it: a seed bottle on a card for everyone, a set of three seed bottles for teams, a grow-it-yourself kit, or a rangoli colouring box for families. For clients and leaders, a box with raw honey, preserved flowers in a ceramic pot, or a Forest Window or seed-bottle tin made with the Pongal print.
When is Pongal 2027?
Thai Pongal falls on Friday 15 January 2027, with Bhogi on Thursday 14 January, Mattu Pongal on Saturday 16 January and Kaanum Pongal on Sunday 17 January. Makar Sankranti is on the same Friday in most calendars; some in Karnataka and Telangana mark it on Thursday 14 January, so check your local panchang.
When should we order Pongal gifts?
Send your brief by early December, four to six weeks before Pongal. Many standard orders complete in 3–5 working days; the final time depends on quantity, branding and packaging. Delivery within India then usually takes 2–4 days. Branded pieces need a proof first, so the earlier the brief, the more room you have for changes.
We have offices in several states. Does one gift work for all of them?
Yes. Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Sankranti in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, Lohri in Punjab and Magh Bihu in Assam fall in the same week of January, and all of them mark the harvest. A gift that is sown suits every one of them, and the greeting on the card can name each office’s festival.
Can the gifts carry our logo or a Pongal greeting?
Yes, on many of them: your logo or a greeting, in English, Tamil, Telugu or Kannada, can go on the piece or its packaging, and you approve a proof before we make the order. Tell us the piece and the quantity, and we confirm what can carry your mark and how.
Is there anything to eat in these gifts?
Only the Seed and Honey Box, which holds two mini jars of raw honey. Everything else is seeds, seed paper, pencils or preserved plants, so nothing spoils before the day.
Do you have Pongal gift hampers?
Yes. Four hampers are built for Pongal and Sankranti: the Harvest Seed Box with seeds, a rangoli colouring set and honey; the Pongal Window Box with a Forest Window and a seed tin in the Pongal print; the Kolam Lamp Box with a brass pooja deep; and the Harvest Brass Chest with a brass deep and ghanti for clients. A greeting can go on the box.
What does a piece cost, and is there a volume rate?
Each rate on this page is per piece, in rupees, before GST. Send your quantity and we quote the volume rate and the packing. Pieces can be combined in one brief.
Will the seeds grow?
They can. Seed paper, also called plantable paper, seed capsules and seed bottles sprout when planted in moist soil, but sprouting depends on the seed, the soil, the water and the light, so we never promise it. Plant within a year.
Do the preserved flowers need water?
No. The flowers and moss in the Ceramic Flower Pot are real plants that have been preserved, so they need no water and no sunlight. Keep the pot indoors, away from direct sun and damp.
Do you have Sankranti return gifts for a gathering at home?
Yes. For a haldi-kumkum or a family Sankranti gathering, the smaller pieces here work as return gifts, and the return gifts collection has more, sorted by budget.
Is delivery free, and can a gift be returned?
Delivery is free to any address in India. If a piece arrives damaged, wrong or missing, tell us within 2 days and we replace it. Plain plantable and Forever Forest pieces can be returned within 2 days if unused; branded and customised pieces and kits are made for you and cannot be returned. The full terms are on the delivery and returns page.
