For the Social Premier Sports League's PPTL 3.0, the trophy was the match ball itself. The league sent us 80 balls; six days later each one sat in preserved moss and dried flowers under acrylic, on a wooden base carrying the event's own line.

The object is the trophy.

A tournament that calls itself carbon-neutral cannot hand out resin trophies. The league wanted something that fitted the claim and still felt like a prize.

The answer was already on the court. A match ball, set into a small landscape, under a clear cover, with the event's line printed on the base. Players took home the thing they had played with, and the moss around it needs nothing from them.
