Twelve wall frames, one campaign line.

An energy company wanted its campaign line on the walls of the people who lead its group companies. We set it in three by two feet of dried flowers, preserved moss, bark and cork, and made twelve by hand, one piece at a time.

The brief.

A campaign line is easy to print and easy to walk past. The team wanted the line to sit inside something living-looking, something that would make anyone walking past slow down and look twice.

It had to last for years on an office wall, with no watering, no grow lights and no gardener on call. And it had to feel like their landscape: green, open, a river running through it, with the brand's round mark at its heart.

“Make the line something people want to touch.”

How we summed up the brief.

What we made.

Three shades of reindeer moss for the hills, bark and cork for the ground, sola-wood flowers and dried stems along a winding path, and the campaign medallion set into cork at the centre.

The making photographs are tidied for light and dust. In the finished frames the client's printed mark and line are replaced; the plants, moss, cork and frame are as photographed.

Up close. Real reindeer moss, preserved so it stays soft and green for years. It needs no water and no light.

Film

See the moss move in the light.

A short film of a Forest Tile, the same moss and botanicals at desk size. Photographs flatten moss; film shows the depth.
