How to plant seed pens and pencils.
A water-soluble seed end goes into moist soil, with the writing end above it. Once the capsule dissolves, lift the pen or pencil out and care for the named seed.

Have a cap-seed pen? Open the cap to release the seeds and sow them separately.

Your logo or design can go on the writing tool, a flap card or a printed tube. Tell us the quantity, seed preference and date.
Keep the capsule dry.
Keep seed capsules cool and dry, away from moisture and direct heat. Plant within one year of purchase for the best chance of germination.
Keep writing, if you like.
Open the capsule and sow the seeds separately while continuing to use the pen or pencil.
Germination depends on the seed variety, storage, soil moisture, temperature and growing conditions.
