Filler is a tell.
Open a typical gift box and you can see where the budget went: one printed thing, surrounded by things that could have come from anywhere. The person opening it notices.
Altona asked for the opposite. Each piece was chosen because it could carry the mark well: the notebook cover, the planter's band, the desk pieces' faces. The box itself was the last thing printed.
